Letting wood take centre stage
The filigno wall unit owes its aesthetic appeal to a combination of simplicity and symmetry. Everything revolves around wood and the qualities it offers as a material: the core element is a fine three-layer board measuring just 12 millimetres thick. The wall unit can either be added to an existing body system or used as a design feature in its own right. Tesseraux’s design is unique in the sheer range of planning options it offers, with wall shelves and panels providing space for books, accessories and collectables. Available in an L-, C- or U-shape and free to position however you like, the filigno wall shelf can be hung as a solo piece or combined with other shelves.

Playing with possibilities
Dominik Tesseraux was exposed to design from an early age: his grandfather is an architect and his father is a photographer. Even as a child, he saw how bold visions can be transformed into reality through craftsmanship, sparking in him a desire to pursue a creative career later on. And so he has, as an industrial designer based in his own studio in Potsdam since 2001. Tesseraux’s approach is all about aesthetics, pragmatism and exploring and transgressing defined boundaries. His designs, mostly for bathrooms and kitchens, combine restrained forms and lines with a sense of emotive appeal.
