We respect nature by creating environmentally friendly furniture made from wood sourced exclusively from sustainably managed forests. For decades, we have been committed to promoting sustainable living through our furniture. Our dedication to the „green path“ is evident throughout our entire production process. From the forest to the finished product, the entire value chain is in our hands to ensure environmentally friendly and high-quality manufacturing. Based on regular analyses of our carbon footprint, we continually implement measures to further reduce our ecological impact— validated by EMAS certification and the Austrian Eco-Label.
CO₂-neutral through our own efforts
We aim to manufacture our furniture in harmony with nature and contribute to the preservation of our planet. Our goal is to develop the world’s most ecological and efficient solid wood manufacturing production and to become CO2-neutral through our own efforts.
By choosing to produce long-lasting furniture from natural, renewable materials in an environmentally sustainable manner, we actively contribute to climate protection. Creating perfectly natural solid wood furniture is our passion—but the path to get us there is equally important to us. You can learn more about our journey to a “greener factory” in our EMAS Environmental Statement.
Family owned
Social, ecological, and economic sustainability has always been deeply rooted in our owner-led family business. For us, people who personally stand for our values and principles take responsibility for their own decisions.
As one of the largest employers in the region, we strive to preserve jobs and create new ones, integrating both older and younger individuals into the workforce and providing them with unique opportunities. The quality promise of the TEAM 7 brand is inseparably linked to its location in Austria. We trust in the skills of our employees and are committed to preserving the knowledge of generations in our homeland.
Conserving resources means producing responsibly, not in bulk. By manufacturing exclusively on a made-to-order basis from raw materials and using the best available technology, we achieve maximum efficiency in both material use and energy consumption. We oversee the entire value chain, allowing us to implement continuous improvements at every stage of production through our integrated quality management system. Contrary to the trend of global sourcing, TEAM 7 relies on regional sourcing structures with shorter transport routes, resulting in reduced emissions and a lower CO2 impact on our environment.
Nature provides us with the valuable raw materials needed to create our solid wood furniture. Therefore, it is only a matter of fairness and respect to utilise these natural materials with the utmost care and to keep them in the value creation cycle for as long as possible. Extending the product lifecycle means conserving resources. The high quality of our products guarantees their long lifespan. Our furniture is designed to be low-maintenance and repairable. With timeless design and perfect functionality, they continue to meet the demands of modern living even after many years.
Choosing the right raw materials is crucial for manufacturing truly sustainable products. We focus on renewable and recycled materials, avoiding synthetic substances whenever possible. TEAM 7 exclusively uses European hardwoods sourced from sustainably managed forests. We know exactly where our wood comes from and require our suppliers to adhere to our strict guidelines. We finish the wooden surfaces of our furniture only with pure natural oils, ensuring that we process homogenous raw materials in a way so they can always be reintroduced into the natural cycle.
When it comes to generating heat, we are completely energy self-sufficient. We utilize all the wood waste generated during our manufacturing process, ensuring that we make use of 100% of the raw materials employed in our furniture production. Since wood is biomass, our energy generation is climate-neutral. At our two locations in Ried and Pram, we source 100% of our electricity from environmentally friendly, renewable energy sources. Additionally, we operate three photovoltaic systems that collectively generate over 400 kWp.
Since 1999, we have held the Austrian Eco-Label for our consistently sustainable manufacturing, having fully transitioned to the production of ecological solid wood furniture in the early 1980s. Furthermore, TEAM 7 has been continuously EMAS and ISO certified since 2011. Our environmental and energy management follows precisely defined standards and is systematically integrated into our management practices. By establishing relevant KPIs, we can efficiently implement strategic and operational measures to reduce CO2 emissions and permanently lower our annual energy consumption through targeted investments. As a participant in the "Climate Pact for the Furniture Industry," we have voluntarily committed to calculating our CO2 balance every two years. This detailed analysis enables us to identify new leverage points to achieve CO2 neutrality through our own efforts.
