Designed for work and wellbeing
The pisa desk was born out of a desire to balance the requirements of a home workspace with a comfortable living environment. Kai Stania’s basic idea was to create something that offered captivating aesthetic appeal, excellent functionality and all the necessary features. Yet at the same time, it would need to evoke that warm and familiar feeling of being at home. The desk can be tailored precisely to suit personal requirements thanks to elements such as the diagonal lifting column, which is a design feature in itself. This allows the height to be continuously adjusted, so pisa can be used both sitting and standing.
Design is everything
Whether it’s a museum exhibition space, a fountain pen or a TEAM 7 kitchen, Kai Stania’s work covers a broad spectrum ranging from furniture to industrial design and even trade fair architecture. Born in Salzburg, he studied architecture in Vienna before honing his skills under the tutelage of design legend Ron Arad.
His designs are a perfect symbiosis of aesthetics and functionality, always created with the aim of bringing people added value. Stania’s creations for TEAM 7 include the loop side table and the metal-free float bed, both of which have been honoured with an ICONIC Award.
