Slender and sophisticated
Jacob Strobel’s award-winning tak dining table is a true TEAM 7 classic. Its streamlined and attractively slender design combines the warmth of wood with the cool elegance of metal. Yet this table’s uncompromisingly slim form conceals a hidden secret – it’s actually extendable. The extension technology has been masterfully and seamlessly incorporated into a delicate design inspired by cubism. All it takes is three simple, intuitive steps to expand the table top space considerably. Thanks to its ingenious construction, thought through down to the smallest detail, tak retains its tasteful appeal even when it is extended.
Pared down to the essentials
In his designs, Jacob Strobel puts a sensitive spin on traditional artisan craftsmanship to combine comfort with vitality and a sense of style. A cabinet maker by training, he studied wood design at the Faculty of Applied Arts Schneeberg and 3D design at Gray’s School Of Art in Aberdeen before spending around seven years at TEAM 7, where he played a key role in shaping the brand’s style and identity.
Strobel returned to Schneeberg as a professor of wood design in 2015, passionately passing on his knowledge to the next generation while continuing his successful work as a designer on the side.
