Martin Ballendat has been flourishing on the international design scene for over 30 years. Today, the Bochum-born designer’s studio produces projects for prestigious brands across the globe. At the essence of his designs is a combination of authentic style and smart functionality. In 2002, Ballendat and TEAM 7 were drawn together by a shared love of wood, resulting in some award-winning pieces, including the sculptural girado swivel chair. The designer’s technical expertise has also borne fruit in the development of innovative technologies such as the breathable Stricktex fabric.
